Here at WCGN we are offering training through November and in the new year free to members and held at gardens within the SE1, SE5 and SE17 postcodes. Bulbs – the not so easy one
Everyone knows how to plant a bulb, right? Well maybe, but do you know how bulbs are produced? Do you know most of the bulbs we buy are full of chemicals, which can then transfer to the very pollinators we maybe planting them for. Do you want to lear about more native bulbs? Bulbs that are better for pollinators or just have a day in your community garden planting bulbs and finding out the fun facts? We can even whittle some dibbers.
Fruit Trees and Bushes – for community growers
Do you have some fruit trees and bushes in your community growing space? Would you like some simple tips on how to manage them to keep them healthy and happy? Have you forgotten what you planted and need some identification help? If so we have just the local expert that can sort this out. We are looking for three small community spaces to hold workshops in the new year. Get in touch and let us know we are keen to help.
