Have you ever been to the UK's largest Seed Swap? If not now is your chance.
A joint coach trip with the Union of Hackney Gardens will be taking members from Southwark down to Brighton to take part in this amazing event. You can swap your seeds or buy some unusual varieties from the market place. This is an excellent opportunity to get seed potatoes but you have to be quick.
The 2020 programme is yet to be released but talks last year included Weeds as Medicine, and Wildlife Gardening from Kate Bradbury, and then you have all the stalls in the market place. A list of last years can be found here.
After the success of last years seed swap we will be working with Walworth Garden and running a split day seed swap to cover beginners and improvers. We will also be asking the question do we need a local seed bank, if so how do we manage this and where do we keep it. Seed planting with the Walworth Garden crew and the opportunity to have your seeds looked after until ready to pot on. Booking for this event will open soon.
Again after another huge success last year we are linking up with Walworth Garden to offer more training on gardening with nature. Details and booking for this event to be released soon.
