Organic Bulb Planting 2019

Three sites will be showcasing organic bulb planting on Sunday 17th November. We will look at a variety of  organic bulbs, why they are important, how best to plant them and care for them and how to do this yourself.

Everyone welcome so do come along to a site/time that suits you:

  • Lancaster  Street Estate 10am SE1
  • Gibbings House 11.15am SE1  ODL
  • Tabbard Gardens 1pm SE1  4LP

Fruit Tree Care 2020

Local exert Richard Galpin will be training with two sites in the area. Working on the trees that have already been planted subjects to be covered are; general tree care, basic pruning, staking, tree pit digging and general root stock information.

These sessions are small and already booked up. However we would hope to repeat then later in 2020 for the next tree care season so do get in touch if you are interested.

Seedy Sunday 2020

Have you ever been to the UK’s largest Seed Swap? If not, now is your chance.

A joint coach trip with the Union of Hackney Gardens will be taking members from Southwark down to Brighton to take part in this amazing event. You can swap your seeds or buy some unusual varieties from the market place. This is an excellent opportunity to get seed potatoes but you have to be quick.

The 2020 programme has now been released and you can see the full list here.

Seed Swap Walworth 2020

After the success of last years seed swap we will be working with Walworth Garden and running a split day seed swap to cover beginners and improvers. We will also be asking the question do we need a local seed bank, if so how do we manage this and where do we keep it. Seed planting with the Walworth Garden crew and the opportunity to have your seeds looked after until ready  to pot on. Booking for this event will open soon.

Kinder Ways to Garden 2020

Again after another huge success last year we are linking up with Walworth Garden to offer more training on gardening with nature. Details and booking for this event to be released soon.
